In many ways this Optimum service sounds a lot like my Dish Remote Access options. I can view my channel guide and set my DVR timers. I can also stream to my pc, phone or tablet. It is a shame that the services differ in one important way. I like to go down to the park and play chess with one of my coworkers at Dish and I like to stream Rockies games on my tablet. I wouldn’t be able to do that with Cablevision as they ground their customers to their home networks where as I can stream from 3g, 4g or WIFI with Dish. Cablevision may have a good product there, but it won’t be great until they let their customers leave their homes.
